Made the Wearables a group of works to
be worn. The title served distinguish them from non-wearable work of
the same period 'Wearing' provided both function and subject for these
works.

Ceased to make Wearables A fundamental
change in the work was necessary. Ceased exhibiting new work to enable
a fresh start in sculpture.

Exhibited a series of slate engravings
on pool-table slate, published Shima: Island and Garden and a series
of cibachrome photographs . Became interested in incorporating large
scale drawings into buildings. Answered advertisement for major sculpture
commission for The European Union Consilium in Brussels. Awarded the
commission in 1993.

Completed first site specific commission

Commission to make Side Street a new pedestrian
street in Westminster.
First visit to Japan. Commission to make 36 Elements: Glass Wall in Tokyo
Created first one person exhibition for ten years Elements a site specific
installation of large scale wall drawings for the Mead Gallery, Warwick
Arts Centre.
Further developed interests in the effect of scale and place on drawings.
